A typical Grade 7 schedule will include the following:
 
ENGLISH
SOCIAL STUDIES
PRE-ALGEBRA
SCIENCE
WORLD LANGUAGE (French, Italian or Spanish)
HOME & CAREERS/HEALTH
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
MUSIC (if possible)
ACADEMIC INTERVENTION SERVICES (if required)
LUNCH (between Periods 4 through 7)
 
NOTE:  Elective subjects are not guaranteed to be in your child's program should AIS be required.

Hello and welcome to Carey! 

 

My name is Angela Palumbo and I’ve been a Guidance Counselor at Carey for 15 years.  In that time, I’ve worked with every grade level and while each one has unique challenges and rewards, I feel especially lucky to be the Grade 7 counselor.  Helping our youngest Seahawks flex their wings is important to me; and knowing what's going to be expected of them focuses my work on both the present and the future.

 

Students -- I look forward to getting to know you.  There will be ups and downs, but fun and accomplishments, too.  Whatever concerns you have, I'm here to help you figure things out or to point you in the right direction.

 

Parents –- My goal is to ensure that your child makes a smooth transition to Carey.  I’m also here for you –- to answer questions, make suggestions or just to listen with an open mind and a caring heart.  Please don’t hesitate to call me.
